AnyWho is a free online directory and reverse phone lookup site: you can enter a name or phone number and it will give you information on the individual’s home address, history of homes, date of birth, numbers and family. It’s managed by PeopleConnect under the Intelius suite of sites, and the results that AnyWho offers are the same ones in the company's shared database.
Since the Intelius company provides results for AnyWho, you can’t use AnyWho to opt out of the service: instead, your removal attempt redirects to the Intelius Data Privacy Center, where you'll have to confirm your identity in stages before your profile is removed. 1Locate your AnyWho listing
Go to anywho.com, then look up yourself using your first and last name or your phone number. Click on your listing so you’ll remember details later on, but do not pay for any additional services or information: all you’re trying to determine is which entry belongs to you.
2Open the Do Not Sell link
In the footer section of AnyWho’s webpage, select “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” Your request takes you to Intelius Data Privacy Center, where PeopleConnect keeps the suppression for all of their websites. On this page, you’ll have the opportunity to either edit or suppress your public data.
3Verify your email
Put your email address in the space provided. Intelius will send a link to your inbox within 15 minutes (act fast!), and it should only be used to proceed with your removal. Consider providing a secondary email address to avoid having your main inbox inundated with promotional offers.
4Confirm your details and record
Provide your date of birth - after this, you won’t be able to change it - and then enter your legal first, middle and last name. You will then be presented with a list of names that match the information: pick out your own listing and confirm it, making note if more than one of your entries appear.
5Complete identity verification
The data broker will request that you confirm you are who you claim to be by asking you to choose a phone number or email listed in your record, then send you a code. When you have verified your identity with the code, your request will be completed, and the record’s status will be “Suppressed.” You won't be sent a final confirmation beyond that status change.
6Re-check after a few days
Your profile should be suppressed from AnyWho within 3-5 business days. Do a new search of your information on both AnyWho and Intelius to verify it is no longer visible. Because the data broker shares its data base with multiple sites, once your profile is removed from one, it should disappear from the others as well.

What happens after you opt out
After removing your personal data from the system, it won't vanish permanently. Your AnyWho profile won't keep itself suppressed, so data you've already requested removed can turn back up if Intelius gets new public records that are just slightly different than your previously suppressed data, or if they purchase an additional source that isn't covered in the suppression you've already set up.

Why does AnyWho send me to Intelius to opt out?
AnyWho is operated by PeopleConnect and draws data from Intelius’s databases. If you want to have information removed from AnyWho, you have to make the request through Intelius’s Data Privacy Center and once that record is gone from Intelius, your AnyWho record should also be removed.
Does opting out of Intelius also cover ZabaSearch and US Search?
Yes. Information that you remove from one of these sites is also removed from the others, since they all share one PeopleConnect suppression database. If your data shows up on a different type of brokerage site, however, you will need to go through the removal process there, separately.
Why does Intelius ask for my date of birth and a verification code?
PeopleConnect will confirm your identity by asking for your name, date of birth, and then a code that will be sent to either an email address or phone number that’s on your record. This process will not allow people to make removal requests for other people, and will ensure they only search for the person in question.
Will removing my AnyWho listing hide me from every people-search site?
No. Only PeopleConnect websites participate in this opt-out program. Data brokers that don’t work with PeopleConnect will likely need separate opt-out requests submitted, or a data broker removal service could do it for you by going to each site for you, across over 150 data broker sites.
